Beautiful, beaded Maasai bracelet cuff in Kenya handcrafted by talented Maasai women. They were handmade by threading and sewing blue Maasai glass seed beads to a leather-bound bracelet cuff. In the Maasai culture, beaded jewellery such as this headband indicate age and social status, and can mark important events (ex. Engagement, wedding, etc.) Each bead that is used by the Maasai has meaning behind it. In this headband, blue symbolizes sustenance, energy, and the bright blue sky which provides water for the people and their cattle.
