Description This strand of genuine Chalcedony beads has: Quantity: about 15 nugget beads (about 14″ long) Shape: Glossy nugget shape Size: 20-25mm Weight: 416ct Quality: This is a lovely chalcedony, mostly because it has that heavenly light lavender/periwinkle/purple color that is inexplicably called Blue Chalcedony. This strand has a subtle mix of color, a bit lighter and more opaque and a bit deeper lavender & more translucent. There are beautiful (but subtle) bands and markings on some of the stones and some of the bands appear a bit yellow (as you can see in the image). There are a couple of spots here & there (i.e. a natural mark in the stone, not chips or dings) and they are beautifully polished with nice looking drill holes. No obvious signs of abuse – so the upshot is that they are in great shape with medium color. Some have great color, but since it’s not consistent I can’t call it so! Y’know, I don’t think it’s blue either. It’s lavender, as we can all see quite clearly. Yet the name remains – it’s still called blue chalcedony.
