I love a cut stone briolette, I don’t know why but they always appeal to me. These Amethyst beads at first glance look absolutely perfect, but they are not (what is, really?). They have some inclusions that are visible to the eye, but most of them are well placed (they tend to be placed around the drill hole where they are not as noticeable, and leave the body of the stone clear – often). They are in there though, you can see a cloud or two drifting in a couple of the stones – but they show off so brilliantly, I find the imperfections hard to detect (generally). The color is a very clear purple and the stones are incredibly lively. They present like a very expensive stone, when in fact, they do not cost an arm & a leg! My favorite kind! Amethyst how I love you, let me count the ways… There is nothing quite like the sparkle of an amethyst to let you know that a gemstone is still a gemstone – no matter how frequently you encounter it, it’s got that special something.
