Description This strand of genuine Moonstone beads is: Quantity: Forty five (45 ) briolettes (about 7″ long) Shape: Smooth Oval Dome Face Flat Back Briolette Drops Size: 5x7mm up to 7x9mm Weight: 54ctw Quality: I’m going to have to call these moonstone beads at least an AA grade. They are lovely. They are translucent with angelic, incandescent flash in most of the stones. I must say, I did find a stone that looked like it might not flash, but it’s hard to go through one by one and judge these guys when they are strung (much harder than with labradorite) – but I might have been wrong. Regardless, some of the flash is a bit more subtle, but (as you can see in the image) they certainly do flash! These are beautifully cut with dome faces and flat backs and are wonderfully petite stones. Although they aren’t perfectly calibrated, they are pretty well matched in size, with some variation within. The stones in the image are the stones you will receive. Moonstone is an alternate birthstone for June, and Hindu lore says that the radiant shimmer of moonstone is from captured moonbeams in the stone. Dreamy, eh?
