These are pretty nice moonstone beads. Although I usually try to find moonstone that are way better than the average moonstone, these don’t quite make it there. They are quite clear (clearer than most) with a pretty good cut (there are some irregularities that you would expect in a nice strand, but not the near-perfection that you look for in an exceptional strand). They have a pretty good flash across the strand without having every single stone show off a bold, bright flash. Yes, all the stones did seem to flash (yes, I do go through and check) but some of them took a bit of work to find, so I take a couple of points off for that bit. I am probably being way too hard on these guys – quite frankly for the price point they are fantastic – but they aren’t the other-worldly ones that I really go nuts for!! You will receive one of the strands shown in the image. Moonstone is an alternate birthstone for June, and Hindu lore says that the radiant shimmer of moonstone is from captured moonbeams in the stone. Dreamy, eh?
